About us

ACRS

The Association for Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ACRS) was founded in March 2004 by Associate Professor Dr. Tosho Mitov, MD, and his like-minded colleagues with the mission to unite ophthalmologists in Bulgaria and support their professional development.

The primary goal of the association is to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience among specialists in the field of ophthalmology. ACRS organizes scientific forums, conferences, and training courses, providing a platform for sharing innovative practices and the latest advancements in cataract and refractive surgery. A special emphasis is placed on training young specialists, creating opportunities for the development and enhancement of their skills.

Over the years, ACRS has established a tradition of annual conferences where leading Bulgarian and international lecturers present their expertise. During these events, the latest technologies, innovative surgical techniques, and real statistical data from clinical practice are discussed, contributing to a high level of professionalism in the field of eye surgery.
