1. Subject

This Policy regulates the terms and procedure for making online payments of membership fees through the official website of the Non-profit Association “Association for Cataract and Refractive Surgery” (ACRS), as well as the conditions for refunding amounts where there is a legal or contractual basis.

2. Online Payment

The payment of the membership fee through the ACRS website is made via a virtual POS terminal provided by the servicing bank.

When making a payment, the user is redirected to a secure page for processing the card transaction.

ACRS does not process, store or have access to the data of the bank card used.

Where additional identification is required, the payment is authenticated through the security mechanisms applied by the servicing bank and the issuer of the bank card.

3. Accepted Payment Methods

The membership fee may be paid by:

  • debit card;
  • credit card;

provided that the card allows secure online payments.

4. Payment Confirmation

After successful completion of the payment, the applicant receives an automatic electronic message confirming the successful transaction.

After activation of the membership, ACRS sends:

  • membership confirmation;
  • username;
  • temporary password for access to the protected section of the website.

An invoice is issued upon request by the member after the necessary invoicing details have been provided.

5. Refunds

After successful activation of the membership, the paid membership fee is non-refundable.

Refunds are permitted only in the following cases:

  • technical error in the processing of the payment;
  • duplicate payment;
  • incorrectly charged or paid amount;
  • other cases provided for by applicable legislation.

6. Refund Method

If a refund is required for an amount paid by bank card, the refund is made through a card transaction to the same bank card used for the original payment.

ACRS does not refund amounts in cash, to another bank card or to a bank account, unless otherwise required by applicable legislation.

7. Refund Request

A refund request shall be submitted by email to: office@crsa.bg

The request should include:

  • full name;
  • email address;
  • date of payment;
  • amount paid;
  • reason for the request.

ACRS reviews each submitted request within 14 calendar days.

8. Payment Security

ACRS uses modern technologies to protect electronic payments made through a virtual POS terminal.

Online payments are processed in a secure environment of the servicing bank in compliance with the applicable international security standards.
